FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before traveling to the Sahara

The best time to visit is between October and April when daytime temperatures are pleasant. Summer months (July and August) are extremely hot, with temperatures often exceeding 45ยฐC (113ยฐF).
The drive from Marrakech to Merzouga takes about 8 to 9 hours of pure driving time. To make this journey comfortable and enjoyable, our 3-day tours break the drive up with overnight stops in Dades Valley or Ouarzazate, allowing you to explore sites like Ait Ben Haddou.
We recommend a light daypack with sunscreen, sunglasses, a scarf to block sand, a camera, a power bank, comfortable shoes, and warm layers, as temperatures drop significantly after sunset.
