Itinerary
Day 1: Casablanca Arrival
Welcome to Morocco! Airport pick up from Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Hassan II Mosque. Overnight stay in Casablanca.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Chefchaouen
Drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Continue north through the Rif Mountains to the beautiful blue city of Chefchaouen.
Day 3: Chefchaouen Exploration
Enjoy a free day to explore Chefchaouen. Wander through the blue-washed alleys of the medina, hike up to the Spanish Mosque for a panoramic sunset view, and relax at Plaza Uta el-Hammam.
Day 4: Chefchaouen - Volubilis Roman Ruins - Meknes - Fes
Depart Chefchaouen for Fes. Along the way, visit the UNESCO-listed Roman ruins of Volubilis, containing ancient columns and mosaics. Stop in Meknes, the former capital, to see the grand Bab Mansour gate. Arrive in Fes in the evening.
Day 5: Fes Medina Guided Sightseeing
Explore Fes with a local official guide. Visit the historic Fes el-Bali medina, Chouara Tannery, Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and take in views from the Marinid Tombs.
Day 6: Fes - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Drive south, climbing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, and Azrou cedar forests to meet Barbary apes. Stop for lunch in Midelt. Cross the High Atlas and drive along the palm-filled Ziz Valley oasis. Arrive in Merzouga, ride camels into the gold dunes for a sunset trek, and check in to your luxury desert camp tent.
Day 7: Desert Discovery Tour & Nomads
Explore the Erg Chebbi desert. Visit Khamlia village for traditional Gnawa spiritual music. Meet local nomad families living in hair tents. In the afternoon, try sandboarding in the dunes or relax at the camp.
Day 8: Merzouga - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Sunrise over the dunes. Ride camels back to Merzouga village for breakfast. Drive to Erfoud and then to Todra Gorge, a steep vertical limestone canyon. Walk along the river. Arrive in Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
Drive through the Valley of Roses. Stop in Ouarzazate, visit the Atlas Film Studios. Explore the ancient Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka pass to Marrakech.
Day 10: Marrakech Sightseeing
Full-day guided tour of Marrakech. Visit the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, and wander the souks. In the evening, witness the lively atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fnaa square.
Day 11: Marrakech - Essaouira (Atlantic Coast)
Depart Marrakech and drive west to the coastal city of Essaouira. Along the way, see goats climbing argan trees. Arrive in Essaouira, an ancient Portuguese seaport. Free afternoon to stroll the beach and medina.
Day 12: Essaouira Free Day
Enjoy a relaxed day in Essaouira. Visit the historic port ramparts (Sqala), watch local fishermen, sample fresh grilled seafood, or enjoy windsurfing and seaside cafes.
Day 13: Essaouira - Casablanca
Enjoy a final morning in Essaouira. In the afternoon, drive back to Casablanca along the scenic coastal route. Farewell dinner and overnight stay in Casablanca.
Day 14: Casablanca Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) for your departure flight.
